Do you see a fulfilling adventure or an empty wasteland?
In this series of five weekly x 2 hour workshops, we explore the challenge of moving from a busy working life into the unstructured space of retirement, and make sense of all the options and possibilities that you could choose.
We will work with simple processes, including the Map of Meaning framework, to help you make your own decisions about what is most likely to work for you, in this new and self-created life. It can be exciting to have time for ourselves; it can also be unsettling to be without the status and structure that work provides.
Information on what is covered in each session can be found in this article here.
These sessions will be followed by one 2 hour re-convening session with the group to find out how we are all going, swap ideas and experiences and cheer each other on.
The workshops are led by Christine Hamilton, Occupational Psychologist and Lani Morris, world authority on the Map of Meaning. Our two presenters are living examples of working through this transition. Lani Morris is a serial entrepreneur and still working in her late seventies, because she loves to. Christine Hamilton is in the process of ‘growing up’, assessing the resources she has accumulated over a life-time while coming to terms with some of the regret.
Both are experts in the use of the Map of Meaning in retirement.
