This scale provides a multidimensional, process-oriented measure of meaningful work that captures the complexity of the construct. It measures the dimensions of \u201cdeveloping the inner self\u201d; \u201cunity with others\u201d; \u201cserving others\u201d and \u201cexpressing full potential\u201d and the dynamic tensions between these through items on \u201cbeing versus doing\u201d and \u201cself versus others.\u201d The scale also measures inspiration and it\u2019s relationship to the existential need to be real and grounded.
